light & location:
Medium indirect sunlight is ideal. Place Pep close to an east or north-facing window or up on a shelf that receives some daytime light. He can also tolerate lower light conditions. Avoid exposing him to direct sunlight, as it will burn his leaves.
water:
Allow the top of the soil to dry out before watering, about once a week in the summer. In the winter, water less often, and don’t worry about the soil being dry as Pep’s thick leaves store water during this time. It’s always better to underwater him than overwater Pep.
temperature:
Normal indoor temperatures are fine with Pep.
humidity:
Average home humidity levels are sufficient. Pep can tolerate relatively dry air, but consider misting him once every couple of days if you place him next to a heating source or if the air is very dry.
toxicity:
Slightly toxic to animals.
